Former Biscuits reliever Kirby Yates was one of three Durham Bulls picked to play in the Triple-A All-Star Game.
Yates, starter J.D. Martin and infielder Vince Belnome will represent the Bulls in the July 17 game in Reno, Nev.
Yates is 3-1 with a 1.13 ERA and nine saves in 33 appearances. He's given up 21 hits, issued 14 walks and racked up 62 strikeouts in 39 2/3 innings. Yates is an All-Star for the first time in his five-year professional career.
Martin is 9-4 with a 3.22 ERA, while Belnome ranks second in the International League with a .342 average in 76 games.
