Hot Rods' Floro sets standard for July BCS/RPI

Bowling Green pitcher Dylan Floro went to the wire to win the July BCS/RPI race.

Floro's final-day first-place finish broke him out of a three-way tie and left him with 21 points in the Biscuit Crumbs Standings/Rays Player Indicator for July.

Floro was 2-0 with an 0.55 ERA in five starts. He gave up 29 hits with six walks and 21 strikeouts in 32 2/3 innings. Floro had three first-place and two third-place finishes in the daily Ranking the Rays.
Hot Rods teammate Tommy Coyle and Durham pitcher J.D. Martin finished with 16 points.

Hudson Valley right-hander Aaron Griffin finished first after four of his six starts and second on a fifth to run away with the Little BCS for the short-season teams.
Griffin was 2-0 with a 2.41 ERA and gave up 26 hits with four walks and 25 strikeouts in 33 2/3 innings.

Coyle has a 15-point lead on the full-season BCS/RPI over Floro and Durham pitcher Merrill Kelly.
