Right-hander Ramon Ramirez has been released by the Triple-A Durham Bulls.
Ramirez was "granted" his release, according to the Bulls. Ramirez had a 2.84 ERA in six games for Durham after signing with the Rays in early July.
The Bulls didn't fill his roster spot, though Brandon Gomes joined them on a rehab assignment. Rehab guys don't count against the roster limit.
