Morning reading

I must say I didn't set out to mention Miley Cyrus, teddy bears and a well-placed foam finger in the notebook, but I did when it comes to the Biscuits batboy awards that clubhouse manager Jeff Perro handed out Monday.

And Jacksonville pitcher Bryan Evans dealt with a Derek Dietrich Cyrus-like distraction after his two-hit shutout of the Biscuits. It was the first nine-inning shutout by a Suns pitcher since July 2010.

Of course, Monday's workload went beyond baseball. New Troy receiver Wilson Van Hooser transferred from Tulane to be closer to his family. The Trojans, who open the season Saturday against UAB, also missed quarterback Corey Robinson for a few days last week due to shoulder fatigue.
