Chattanooga center fielder Joc Pederson and Jacksonville left-hander Justin Nicolino were the Southern League's weekly award winners.
Pederson was 10-for-23 with three home runs, eight RBIs and five runs scored for the week. He ranks among the league leaders with a .281 average, 18 home runs, 29 steals and 72 runs scored for the Lookouts. Pederson is also third in on-base percentage and second in slugging.
Nicolino, in his sixth Double-A start, racked up 13 strikeouts over six shutout innings Friday against Birmingham. He's 3-2 with a 5.52 ERA for the Suns.
Pederson is a two-time winner and the Lookouts have had four this year. The Suns have won six times.
