The Biscuits have added two major league pitchers to their roster.
Starter Jake Odorizzi and reliever Jeff Beliveau, just before major league rosters can expand Sunday, have been assigned to the Biscuits.
Odorizzi is a paper move and he won't actually join the Biscuits during their final series against Birmingham. It's unclear about Beliveau.
Rays beat writers first reported that Odorizzi is being assigned the Biscuits. The Biscuits, who have just one open roster spot, announced that Beliveau is being assigned to them.
Beliveau was with the Rays for a few days after Jeremy Hellickson was paper-moved to the minor leagues, but he did not appear before the Rays called up Odorizzi to start Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels. Today, they've called up Brandon Gomes from Durham.
