Blogger, which hosts this site, apparently has fixed the issues that kept me from being able to post Thursday. We're back. Here's some of what you missed, though most of this is in Friday's paper ...
rCody Cipriano, who was in Thursday's lineup as the designated hitter, was replaced by a pinch-hitter before he even batted.
rAfter the game, manager Billy Gardner said Cipriano was pulled due to a tight hamstring.
rBiscuits starter Joe Cruz, who took a shutout into the seventh inning, entered Thursday with the third-worst ERA of any pitcher in the minor leagues who had thrown at least 13 innings. His 11.16 was only exceeded by: Class A Modesto's Nick Schnaitmann (14.51 ERA in 22 1/3 innings) and Double-A New Britain's Deolis Guerra (11.57 in 23 1/3).
rThere was the 11th known in-game marriage proposal in stadium history. It was successful.
rIt was 80s Night, so there were numerous puns that I would have made, plus links to appropriate 80s videos.
rOf course, the daily Rays roundup.
rAnd, today, of course, the popular daily Ranking the Rays.
