Wednesday's Rays roundup

Bulls 1, Indianapolis 0
Justin Ruggiano
-- who else? -- homered in the first inning. Alex Cobb and two relievers combined on a five-hitter. Cobb went six innings with four hits, a walk and five strikeouts. Rehabbing J.P. Howell threw a one-hit inning with two K's. Jake McGee threw the final two, suffering a mere walk with four whiffs.

Stone Crabs 5, Brevard County 2
Jake Jefferies
was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a double, a walk and a run scored. Brett Nommensen had two hits, was hit twice and scored twice. Mayo Acosta also reached three times and knocked in two runs. Drew Leary and Sergio Espinosa each allowed one run in four innings. Josh Satow worked a perfect ninth.

Hot Rods 6, Fort Wayne 3
Phil Wunderlich
hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning. He finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a double. Cody Rogers hit a tying, two-run homer in the seventh and scored twice. Kevin Kiermaier stole four bases and was 2-for-4 with a triple and run. Jimmy Patterson struck out seven over four innings. He allowed two hits and one walk.
