Jacksonville's Luke Montz, whose week started with a scoreboard-clearing home run at Riverwalk Stadium, was the Southern League's hitter of the week, too.
Montz was 7-for-16 with three home runs, eight runs scored and 10 RBIs for the week ending Sunday. Last Monday, he entered a game with the Biscuits to replace an injured starter and cleared the scoreboard with a homer. On Friday at Huntsville, he hit a three-run homer and finished with five RBIs.
Mississippi right-hander Randall Delgado, on the strength of a Wednesday win at Chattanooga, was the top pitcher. Delgado threw a seven-inning two-hitter, walking two and striking out three.
