J.D. Martin, with a book-rule quality start, improved to 15-4 to set a Bulls Triple-A record for wins. Tim Beckham doubled singled, RBI'd and scored. Shelley Duncan singled, walked, had two RBIs and scored.
Bulls 5, Charlotte 1 (Game 2)
Kevin Kiermaier singled, walked, RBI'd and scored. Evan Frey doubled, singled, had two RBIs and scored. Cory Wade threw 3 2/3 shutout innings in a spot start.
Stone Crabs 2, Palm Beach 0 (6, rain)
Dylan Floro threw a rain-shortened three-hitter with no walks, three strikeouts and 10 groundball outs. Jonathan Quinonez doubled twice and scored. Alejandro Segovia doubled and singled.
Hot Rods 7, South Bend 1
Marty Gantt tripled, singled and had four RBIs. Andrew Toles doubled, singled twice, stole twice and scored twice. Blake Snell threw five innings, giving up one run on three hits with five walks and eight strikeouts.
Lowell 4, Renegades 3
Granden Goetzman doubled, stole and scored. Johnny Field homered.
P-Rays 3, Danville 1
D.J. Slaton's six innings included one run on three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Oscar Armenta threw three no-hit innings and walked two. Spencer Edwards singled twice, stole and scored twice. Hunter Lockwood singled twice and had two RBIs. Johnny Eierman homered.
