Biscuits pitcher Nick Barnese left after just three innings and 62 pitches. Reason uncertain. Trainer Andrew Hauser is still in the dugout. However, Rays minor league training coordinator Lee Slagle is in town this series and is not in the dugout.
Barnese threw 70 pitches in his last start but had 80 the start before that, so 62 seems a little low. He went 78 in his season debut.
