Scott Shuman surrendered four runs in the ninth on three hits and two walks. Josh Satow threw two shutout innings with a hit and two walks. Brett Nommensen had an RBI and doubled for Charlotte's only extra-base hit. He, Mike Sheridan and Hak-Ju Lee had two hits. The Crabs drew nary a walk.
