Howell starts rehab in extended spring

Injured Rays reliever J.P. Howell made his first rehab appearance today, throwing 25 pitches in an extended spring training game against the Orioles. Howell faced six hitters, allowed two hits and struck out four. His next scheduled appearance is Monday in an extended spring game against the Twins.
