Ralph Henriquez’s pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the ninth inning gave the Jackson Generals a 2-1 win over the Biscuits on Friday.
Henriquez’s hit came with two outs and scored Johermyn Chavez from second. Chavez hit a leadoff single and stole second to get into scoring position.
Montgomery’s run came in the first inning. Henry Wrigley singled in Tim Beckham with two outs. Starter Shane Dyer allowed one run in four-plus innings. Neil Schenk and Matt Bush each threw two shutout innings before Zach Quate came on in the ninth.
