Kyle Seager hit a three-run double and Luis Jimenez cracked a two-run home run to help the Jackson Generals build a large lead early in Thursday’s 7-3 win over the Biscuits.
Seager’s double capped a five-run second inning and Jimenez’s long homer to right made it 7-0 in the third. Starter Erasmo Ramirez was the beneficiary, though the 20-year-old worked seven effective innings for his first Double-A win.
Daniel Mayora hit a two-run home run in the sixth for the Biscuits. Cole Figueroa had an RBI double in the seventh. Montgomery’s Stephen Vogt came within a home run of the cycle.
Biscuits starter Joe Cruz surrendered seven runs in three innings. Reliever Frank De Los Santos, making his Double-A debut, three four shutout innings of one-hit ball.
