Chattanooga's Scott Van Slyke, the son of former major leaguer Andy Van Slyke, made an easy case for the Southern League's weekly awards.
Van Slyke was 14-for-27 with 12 RBIs from last Monday through Sunday. He had three home runs, seven doubles, a triple and seven runs scored.
Jacksonville left-hander Brad Hand was the top pitcher. He allowed one run on four hits over seven innings to beat Mobile on Wednesday.
