Biscuits pitcher Nick Barnese will miss at least one start due to the back pain he felt Thursday night.
Barnese suffered a "mild strain" in his lat, manager Billy Gardner said. Barnese hasn't gone on the disabled list.
"The doctor looked at him and didn't find any serious issue," Gardner said. "I don't think it's anything that will keep him out for an extended time."
