Evan Longoria had a jersey already waiting on him when he reached Riverwalk on Thursday. It had been sitting there since 2008.Longoria's actual game-used No. 6 jersey from 2007 was part of the Biscuits' annual charity auction, but the team still included another in their 2008 order.
The Biscuits put Longoria's name on the back of it and put it on display in the team's gift shop. It remained there until Longoria needed one. The jersey came off the mannequin Thursday and went on Longoria.
"I didn't know they took it off a mannequin,” Longoria said. “That's a little awkward.
"At least it still fits."
