Saturday: Biscuits 10, Smokies 2

Jake Thompson continued his surge with seven strong innings, while Cameron Seitzer had three RBIs and Curt Casali homered in the Biscuits' 10-2 win over the Tennessee Smokies on Saturday.

Thompson (11-9) gave up an unearned run on three hits in seven innings to win his fourth straight start. He has recorded seven straight quality starts.

His 19 wins over the last two years for the Biscuits ties for the second most in franchise history. Mike Prochaska (2004, 2006-08) also won 19 games, while Jason Cromer (2004-06, 2008-09) was a 27-game winner.

Casali, whose two-run homer capped a five-run eighth inning, has 19 RBIs in 15 games since being promoted to the Biscuits.
