Enny Romero, after surviving a shaky first inning, threw seven strong frames in the Biscuits' 3-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts on Tuesday.
Romero (10-6) gave up a home run to Rafael Ynoa and a single to Jon Garcia to start the first inning before recording three well-struck flyball outs. Over the next six innings, Chattanooga managed just one hit off Romero, a two-out single in the sixth.
The Biscuits finished a five-game series sweep of the Lookouts, their first five-game sweep since May 2009. Montgomery swept a four-game series from west Tenn in August 2010 and a three-gamer at Carolina in July 2010.
Ryan Brett knocked in all three runs for the Biscuits. He singled in Robby Price with two outs in the second inning. With two outs in the sixth, he hit a two-run double.
Jake Thompson also reached 10 wins Monday for Montgomery. The Biscuits last had multiple pitchers with double-figure wins in 2006. That year, they had three: Andy Sonnanstine (15-8), Jim Magrane (11-8) and Tony Peguero (10-12).
