Biscuits set season hit high in 15-1 win

Where did this come from?

The Biscuits, the worst hitting team in the Southern League, stroked a season-high 19 safeties tonight in a 15-1 win at Tennessee. Every batter had at least one hit and either scored or knocked in a run.

The 19 hits ties for third on the Biscuits' all-time list. The top output, ironically, was also at Tennessee when Montgomery tossed out a 24-hit attack in an 18-6 win July 22, 2004.

Montgomery last reached double figures in runs May 15, a mere 53 games ago.

Heath Rollins (8-7) worked seven innings for the win. Updating his numbers, Rollins is now 7-1 with a 1.98 ERA in nine road starts. At Riverwalk Stadium, he’s 1-6 with a 5.51 ERA.
