McGee jumps from GCL to high-Class A Charlotte

Former Biscuits pitcher Jake McGee has been moved to the high-Class A Charlotte Stone Crabs' roster, Rays assistant general manager Gerry Hunsicker said after Montgomery's game tonight. McGee had Tommy John surgery a year ago after blowing out his elbow with the Biscuits. He returned three weeks ago with the Gulf Coast League Rays.

McGee started for the Crabs at Lakeland and gave up three runs, three hits and two walks in 2 2/3 innings. Richard De Los Santos worked the final two innings of Charlotte's 12-11 victory. The Crabs scored nine in the eighth.
