Barons second baseman C.J. Retherford and Mudcats pitcher Matthew Klinker won the Southern League's weekly awards today. Usually announced Monday, the awards came out today because of the All-Star break.
Retherford had a league-high nine RBIs and is the first position player to win the award twice this season. Klinker was 2-0 with 15 strikeouts in 12 shutout innings.
