Charlotte Stone Crabs left-hander Darin Downs takes a 10-4 record and a Florida State League-leading 2.21 ERA into tonight's start against Clearwater. He has a 1.81 ERA in his last eight starts and is 10-of-17 on quality starts this year with two five-inning, one-run outings. His next scheduled start would be Thursday.
The Biscuits have an off day Sunday before starting a home series Monday with Huntsville. The fourth game of that series is Thursday.
