Durham reliever Dale Thayer has been picked to go to the Triple-A All-Star Game as a replacement. The game is Wednesday in Portland, Ore.
Thayer, a former Biscuit and the all-time Southern League saves leader, has 13 saves and a 1.82 ERA in 39.1 innings this year for the Bulls. He also made his major-league debut this season.
Thayer and shortstop Reid Brignac are Durham's two representatives at the Triple-A game.
