Outfielder Joe Gaetti was released after tonight's game by the Biscuits, who plan to activate shortstop Brandon Chaves from the disabled list before Tuesday's game at Birmingham.
Gaetti signed as a free agent in late May and hit .188 in 32 games. Montgomery was his third team of the season. Gaetti started the year at New Britain of the Eastern League and was 5-for-36 in nine games. With Frisco of the Texas League from May 1-12, Gaetti was 3-of-19 in eight games. The 27-year-old is the son of former major-league star Gary Gaetti.
