League: DJ not on roster; Barons include DJ on roster

Montgomery outfielder Desmond Jennings isn't on the All-Star roster sent out by the Southern League, but he's being included on the roster supplied by the host Barons.

Jennings is attending tonight's game but isn't playing because he was in St. Louis for Sunday's Futures Game. His inclusion, and a few others, gives the South Division team a 29-man roster, while the North has just 25.

We're here in Hoover for the annual All-Star extravaganza. The league sent out starting lineups a few weeks ago. Since half of those lineups have probably been promoted, so here's the final version ...

6:02 update: Biscuits pitcher Jeremy Hellickson is scheduled to pitch the top of the third. Also, the lightning, thunder and rain that rolled through Montgomery early today hit Hoover first and left their mark on Regions Park. The Barons resuscitated the scoreboard, but the sound system is still down.

6:15: The sound system has returned.
