Catcher Shawn Riggans has returned from his second rehab assignment for shoulder tendinitis and has been sent to Triple-A Durham. Riggans reinjured his shoulder during a rehab stay with the Biscuits in early May.
Durham already has three catchers, though Alex Jamieson isn't on the active roster.
