Barons' Poreda promoted to majors

Getting off the draft topic for a minute ... The Biscuits won't have to worry about Birmingham pitcher Aaron Poreda anymore. Poreda, who was 2-0 in two starts, including six shutout innings Friday, has been promoted to the major leagues. He was 5-4 overall with a 2.38 ERA for the Barons.
