Bradford to pitch first for Biscuits today
Rehabbing major-league reliever Chad Bradford will take the mound for the Biscuits when Tuesday's suspended game resumes at 6:05 p.m. today. Right-hander Brad Stone will pitch for Jacksonville, which leads 5-1 in the middle of the fourth inning.
With the roster moves, the Biscuits will have just one catcher available for the resumption, so Matt Spring can't strenously object if a pitch eight feet outside is called a strike. UPDATE: Rules actually allow a roster move in this situation, so Nevin Ashley is eligible.
They have to play nine innings for the Tuesday game, but today's regularly scheduled game will be shortened to seven.
