Durham's Mateo nets award from indy league

Durham infielder Henry Mateo, who played 24 games in the independent Atlantic League before joining the Bulls, won the league's player of the month award for April/May. He hit .416 with 25 runs scored before going to Durham. The league announced the award Thursday.
