Biscuits pitcher Jeremy Hellickson flies to Florida on Wednesday and will finish his rehab from a shoulder injury at Tampa Bay's extended spring training program.
He threw another side session today and will throw live batting practice Friday in Port Charlotte, Fla., Biscuits manager Billy Gardner said.
"He's going to get his pitches built back up and they'll send him back here," Gardner said. "I don't know the timetable, but I don't see it being anything longer than 10 days."
Hellickson threw 37 pitches today, including a few breaking balls, but "not many," Gardner said, and "looked really good." Hellickson has missed the last month with a shoulder injury.
