Biscuits, Suns factor in league honors

Carolina center fielder Chris Heisey, after a nice series against the Biscuits, and Mobile pitcher Matt Torra, helped by the Suns, won the Southern League's player of the week awards today.

Heisey was 15-for-27 with nine RBIs and seven runs scored last week, which included a five-game series with Montgomery. Torra allowed eight hits and won twice in 16 innings, including a seven-inning victory over Jacksonville. Torra also threw a three-hitter against Chattanooga.

The Biscuits and Suns can help each other in this week's series with Game 2 tonight at Riverwalk.
