The draft gets underway at 5 p.m. and the Nationals will likely take San Diego State pitcher Stephen Strasburg with the No. 1 overall pick. Reports have Strasburg agent Scott Boras looking for $50 million.
The Rays pick 30th and aren't scheduled to pick until 7:11 CDT.
The latest mock drafts have Tampa Bay taking North Carolina high school catcher Wil Myers (Baseball America), Puerto Rico high school outfielder Reymond Fuentes (MLB.com) and/or Arizona high school catcher Tommy Joseph, though mislabeled as California. (John Sickels).
