Gotta love traffic jams. Took me 90 minutes to make the 45-minute drive to Sarasota, so the games are well under way. It's Nick Barnese in Double-A and Jeremy Hall in Triple-A.
50 minutes in: Espinosa, Fleming and Reid also in uniform in Double-A. Ekstrom, Bootcheck and Swindle in Triple-A.
1:18: Barnese threw five shutout and was efficient enough that he went to the pen to finish his day. A homer off Espinosa ties it 1-1. In Trips, Rays lead 2-1 in the fifth. Hall gave up one run in three innings.
1:39: Espinosa gives up a run in each of his two innings. It could have been worse. Sexton made a diving tag to get one out.
1:57: Bootcheck gives up three runs in each of his two innings. O's lead 8-2 in Trips.
2:25: Odd when the Double-A game ends before Triple-A. Rays lose 2-1 in Dubs and 8-2 in Trips. Fleming took the ninth in Dubs and wasn't out there long. Albernaz singled in the ninth in Trips.
