Former Cy Young award winner Jake Peavy will make a rehab start Friday against the Biscuits.
Peavy, who will oppose Chris Archer for the Birmingham Barons, is close to returning from shoulder surgery. He was 7-6 with the White Sox last season.
Peavy, a Mobile native, had his best season in 2007 when he was 19-6 with a 2.54 ERA for the San Diego Padres and was a unanimous Cy Young award winner. Peavy is a two-time All-Star.

I called this matchup as a possibility last week during the biscuits season ticket holder preseason gala get together. I am glad to see it come to pass, my prediction streak is in midseason form already lol
