Matt Moore totaled a season-high nine strikeouts and won his second straight start with the Biscuits' 8-1 win over Carolina on Wednesday.
Moore (2-2) allowed one run over five innings on two hits and two walks. The left-hander has allowed 26 hits in 29 1/3 innings this season with six walks and 41 strikeouts. Cole Figueroa scored twice and knocked in two runs, while Stephen Vogt had three RBIs. Reid Fronk homered.
The win was also the 500th in Biscuits history. Their all-time record is 500-499.
