Stephen Vogt and Ray Olmedo each had two hits. Andy Sonnanstine gave up one run on seven hits and a walk in 6 1/3 innings.
Bulls 8, Buffalo 3 (Game 2)
Tim Beckham was 3-for-5 with a grand slam, double and two runs scored. John Matulia was 3-for-3 with a solo home run, walk and two runs scored. Leslie Anderson was hit by a pitch and left early.
South Bend 4, Hot Rods 3
Cody Rogers singled twice, walked, scored twice and erred. Derek Dietrich doubled and hit a two-run home run. Victor Mateo threw five shutout innings. Chris Rearick tossed a perfect ninth.
GCL Red Sox 6, Rays 3
Julian Morillo tripled, singled, walked, RBI'd and scored. Riccio Torrez hit a solo home run, singled and stole a base.
