Victor Mateo registered the Biscuits' first shutout in almost two years, throwing a seven-inning one-hitter in a 6-0 win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Saturday.
Travis Mattair hit a two-out single in the second inning for Pensacola's only hit. Mateo (4-8), who threw six shutout innings in his last start, walked none and struck out four.
Alex Colome threw the last shutout by a Biscuit with a seven-inning one-hitter vs. Mobile on Aug. 9, 2011.
Kyeong Kang and Mayo Acosta homered for the Biscuits, while Robby Price had two RBIs.
