Left-hander Grayson Garvin, who missed the final 2 1/2 months of last season with an elbow injury and has pitched only for the GCL Rays this year, is returning to the high-Class A Charlotte Stone Crabs.
Garvin is scheduled to start tonight's game with Bradenton, according to Claw Digest, a blog that covers the Crabs.
Garvin, the 59th overall pick in the 2011 draft out of (egads) Vanderbilt, made his pro debut with Charlotte last year and had a 5.05 ERA in 46 1/3 innings before going down June 11 and having Tommy John surgery. He has started six games and thrown 11 2/3 innings this year in the GCL.
