Right-hander Joe Cruz said Monday he's scheduled to throw four innings Saturday for the GCL Rays and could -- as in might, as in maybe -- return to the Biscuits after that, if everything goes well.
Cruz said he threw 88-91 mph and touched 92 in his three perfect innings Monday and is excited to just be able to compete again this year. He left the Biscuits in early June with a shoulder injury.
"Everything is coming along good, my body feels good, my arm feels good," Cruz said. "Even though my velocity wasn't where I want it to be, I'm still happy because my arm feels great."
