Thursday's Rays roundup

Lehigh Valley 5, Bulls 3
Dan Johnson
was 4-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored. Stephen Vogt was 2-for-4 and is hitting .429. (Montgomery native Brian Bass held Durham to two runs over seven innings.)

Stone Crabs 2, Palm Beach 1 (14)
Anthony Scelfo
scored on a wild pitch to win it. He was pinch-running for Jake Jefferies, who doubled. Hak-Ju Lee singled, walked three times and scored. Kirby Yates threw three no-hit innings. Josh Satow had two shutout and Adam Liberatore three shutout.

Hot Rods 4, Fort Wayne 1
Steve Tinoco
walked twice and scored twice. Chris Rearick tossed two perfect innings for his 17th save. Victor Mateo improved to 11-5 with three shutout frames.

Renegades 3, Batavia 2 (Game 1)
Kyle Holloway
hit a solo home run in the second and a two-run double in the sixth. He also picked off a runner at third. Andrew Bellatti went five innings, giving up one run.

Batavia 2, Renegades 1 (Game 2)
Craige Lyerly
had two of Hudson Valley's five hits and a steal. Jonathan Koscso singled and walked.

Danville 10, P-Rays 1
Drew Vettleson
left after six innings and two at-bats (hmmm). Cameron Seitzer singled and walked.

GCL Red Sox 2, Rays 1 (10)
Johnny Eierman
was 3-for-5 with a double and a 10th-inning home run in his professional debut. Starter Hugo Duarte threw five shutout innings. Theron Geith gave up two runs in the bottom of the 10th.
