Jeff Malm doubled twice and had two RBIs. Alejandro Segovia singled, walked twice, RBI'd and scored. Ryan Carpenter worked five innings and gave up two earned runs.

Jeff Ames threw five no-hit innings with two walks and seven strikeouts. Ryan Garton gave up one hit (in the seventh) over four innings. Patrick Leonard was hit by a pitch and scored in the third without benefit of a hit. Tommy Coyle doubled, singled, walked and sac flied in Leonard.

Ariel Soriano homered twice and had four RBIs. Oscar Hernandez hit a 12th-inning grand slam and walked. Jaime Schultz threw three no-hit innings with a walk and eight strikeouts.
