Left-handed pitcher Wesley Wright, a Montgomery County native, has been claimed off waivers by the Rays from the Houston Astros.
Wright is from Grady and went to high school at Goshen. He's in his sixth major league season.
Wright was 0-4 with a 3.92 ERA in 54 games this year for the Astros. He pitched 41 1/3 innings, gave up 45 hits, issued 16 walks and totaled 40 strikeouts.
