Kyeong Kang and John Shelby had back-to-back two-run hits in a four-run first inning that pushed the Biscuits to a 6-2 win over the Mobile BayBears on Friday.
Kang doubled and Shelby singled to give Montgomery a 4-0 lead. Henry Wrigley walked twice, doubled and scored twice for the Biscuits.
Jim Paduch (2-4) gave up two runs over five innings. Relievers Marquis Fleming and Matt Bush threw two innings each. Bush retired all six batters he faced and struck out four.
