Rivero struggles, Romero OK in Futures Game

The two Rays left-handed pitchers in the MLB All-Star Futures Game had wildly different innings.

Felipe Rivero of the Bowling Green Hot Rods pitched the fourth inning for the World team, giving up two runs (one earned) on a double and three walks. The unearned run came on the double. The throw back to the infield skipped by two infielders and toward the third-base dugout. Rivero futily tried to retrieve it before another run scored.

Enny Romero of the Charlotte Stone Crabs worked the fifth for the World. He allowed two hits but no runs.

UPDATE: Rivero took the loss with the U.S. team's 17-5 victory.
