Durham right-hander J.D. Martin won the International League's pitcher of the week award.
Martin, who is 9-3 with a 2.89 ERA, won both of his starts for the week, giving up two runs in 13 2/3 innings. He's either won or recorded a quality start in his last 11 outings.
His nine wins lead both the International League and the Tampa Bay organization and match his total from all of the last two years combined. He was 3-7 for Triple-A Syracuse in 2011 and 6-9 for Triple-A New Orleans last year.
