Biscuits pitcher Merrill Kelly has been promoted to Triple-A Durham.
Kelly is 5-6 with a 4.15 ERA. He had made five straight quality starts before giving up six runs in four innings in his last appearance.
The right-hander was scheduled to start for Montgomery on Friday at Jacksonville. No word on who starts for Kelly now.
UPDATE: Victor Mateo jumps back in the rotation after making one relief appearance.
