Hudson Valley's Aaron Griffin was the New York-Penn League's top pitcher for the week.
Griffin posted eight shutout innings over two appearances, including four Saturday in his first start. He's 1-0 with a 3.29 ERA in four games.
The Rays took the right-hander in the 10th round of last month's draft out of Loyola Marymount. Hudson Valley has won both of this season's weekly NY-P pitching awards. Left-hander Jordan Harrison won last week.
The Renegades are 10-4 and have a 2.69 team ERA.
Leroy native Phillip Ervin, the 27th overall pick last month from Samford, was the Pioneer League's first hitter of the week. The outfielder has a .353 average in nine games for the Billings Mustangs.
