A's coach handed 1-year suspension

Oakland A's roving hitting coach Todd Steverson has been banned for a year by the California League. He was the acting manager for the Stockton Ports on June 23 when he ordered his pitcher to intentionally balk in hopes of ending what became a 7-6, 18-inning loss to Modesto. Steverson isn't allowed to be in the dugout for a California League game for a year.
